Sandustry Materials Database
Every pixel in Sandustry is a physical resource. Here are the materials you will mine, mix, and process, and how each one transforms into the next.

Sand
Mined from Sandsoil terrain — the base of your whole factory.
Wet Sand
Sand + Water (1+1=2). Drop it on Shakers to extract Gold.
Gold
Falls out of Wet Sand on Shakers (~20-25% per pass). Funds Research.
Slag
Shaker byproduct. Burn it to Burnt Slag, then press for more Gold.
Water
Wets Sand, boils to Steam, freezes to Ice. Route with Pipes & Pumps.
RedSand
Dense mid-game material. Mix Amethelis with RedSand to make Voidbloom.
Amethelis
Petals dropped by Flowers. Feeds Voidbloom and mid-game refining.
Voidbloom
Amethelis + RedSand. Feed it to the Flux Emanator to grow Fluxite.
Fluxite
Upgrade currency grown under the Flux Emanator.
Lava
Burns Slag into Burnt Slag; forms Cinder/Scoria on contact.
Snow & Firn
Renewable water source when burned; Firn and Frostbed hold it.
Core Material Ratios
Sand + Water → Wet Sand → (Shaker) → Gold + Slag → (burn) → Burnt Slag → (Kinetic Slag Press) → more Gold. Mid-game: Amethelis + RedSand → Voidbloom → (Flux Emanator) → Fluxite. See the Production page for the full chain.
Critters (Find Them In The Depths)
Lurking in the depths you will occasionally encounter mysterious critters. You can tame them with the Corraller. Collect all five to complete your bestiary.
Shinelet
A mysterious critter that lurks in the depths. Catch it with the Corraller.
Lumling
A glowing critter found in dark areas. Catch it with the Corraller.
Redweaver
A rare critter encountered while exploring. Catch it with the Corraller.
Voltblub
An electric-looking critter from the depths. To find Voltblub, dig deep near dark terrain and keep a Corraller equipped - it shocks on approach, so bait it out and catch it before it retreats.
Voidgrazer
A void-tinged critter that grazes near strange terrain. Catch it with the Corraller.
RedSand: What It Is & How To Get It
RedSand is the dense mid-game material (German players search for it as "Rotsand"). The Density Filter separates RedSand out of your mixed output using density bands, alongside Sand, Wet Sand, Slag, Lava and Gold - so if your RedSand output is low, add or widen a Density Filter on the affected line. Its main job is the mid-game Fluxite line: combine Amethelis (flower petals) with RedSand to make Voidbloom, then feed the Voidbloom into the Flux Emanator to grow Fluxite, the upgrade currency.
